.Growing up, you probably had a very close relationship with stickers. I for one, loved stickers, and quite frankly, I still do. We would get stickers from the gift store in town and stick it on anything and everything. Looking back, it is correct to say that stickers had made us brand ambassadors of sorts. This is what makes stickers special: it turns the customer and the would-be customer into a brand ambassador, therefore making your marketing job a lot easier.
While sticker-marketing sounds so easy and straight forward, there are a few things that every successful businessman must consider for better lead generation. Below are a few of the do’s and don’ts:
The Do’s
One of the first steps to take when it comes to sticker marketing is designing the sticker itself. Having in mind that it will be a representation of your brand, each marketer has to ask a few important questions: What is your target market? What is the unique story you wish to tell with your sticker? What is your product? In branding, this is normally referred to as Identity Development. This is to say that you should ensure that you have clearly developed your identity as you design the stickers.
Having clearly developed your identity, you should also seek to understand your customer and their needs. You will not, for example, be expected to deliver cartoon-themed stickers in serious corporate functions, or serious-looking stickers in parties. You can start by learning what your competitors do and then improve on it. Make your sticker fun and noticeable.
The Don’ts
While most people are tempted to use cheap quality designs for stickers, it should be known that it suicidal to the brand. Do not compromise your quality, design, and message in exchange for cheapness. You should also take your time when designing the sticker as we have already noted, it will be your ambassador out there. The best way to go about this is by hiring professionals in the industry who will guide you every step of the way. There are plenty out there beginning with the likes of Miami Flyers.
